In June Nina Zweifel, our daughter, graduated from Oregon State in ag business major. She received several awards including outstanding senior in her major. We are very proud of her. I joke that she came back to the family farm and now she’s my boss….! We are excited about her young energy and new marketing ideas. In order for this farm to thrive into the next generation we have to keep striving to get better.
July 27th Nina Zweifel and Logan Braxling got married! It was a glorious day and because we are in the flower business and we have a wedding venue on both The Mook at Alderbrook Golf Course and the Hydrangea Ranch. So they got married on top of the golf course and then the reception was held at the Hydrangea Ranch. The flowers were amazing. Everything was perfect! Welcome to the family Logan Braxling!

We made good progress on the golf course in our 2nd year of ownership of The Mook at Alderbrook. Here are some pictures which shows the tremendous progress we’ve made in just two years. See The Mook website to book your golf now.
In any business it seems it’s important to keep striving to get better or else you fall backways. This is especially true in the floral industry. Once hot trends inevitably get slower with time and you must find the new hot items. This has been a continual trend since we started in business and to be honest it’s tiresome. We are excited that Nina wants to come back to join the business. Here are some photos of the farm this past year.
Brownie, our beloved dog of 14 years got ran over this past summer. We got him when Nina was 9 years old and he has played a large part of all of our lives. Here are a couple of photos of him:
