Finish small barn, planing bigger barn for commercial kitchen & events center.

We finish the small barn just in time for the 2019 Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze.  It is a great addition to our pumpkin patch.  It was built using modified post and beam methods with wood milled from my father’s farm and rocks gathered from the shores of the Kilchis River.  See gallery photos below.

The Ultimook Running Camps has grown into hosting over 300 youth from all over the country (kids from 33 different states in 2019) over two weeks each summer.  Additionally, we rent our facilities to larger high schools so they can hold their own team camps/retreats.  We start planning a bigger barn, 46X60 with a commercial kitchen and cafeteria.  This barn too, will have rough cut lumber and modified post and beam construction.  We are striving to complete by the summer of 2021.

The Hydrangea Ranch is host to many unique events in 2019 including a “secret summer.”

In December 2019, we add Cruise, a baby German Shephard to the mix.  Brownie is still alive and strong, but a german shephard had always been Monika’s dream.
